An HWC Mitigation Cell is planned to be established at MoEFCC to serve as the secretariat, to bring in focussed efforts to engage different stakeholders during the plan implementation. The purpose of the HWC Mitigation Cell will be effective, holistic and timely coordination and implementation of the HWC-NAP.

The Cell with coordinate with SFD and other concerned stakeholders in reporting on the monitoring indicators as specified in HWC-NAP and organize inter-ministerial consultations on HWC mitigation.
